  • Vaccinations
    • Puppies and kittens receive their first course of vaccines at 8, 12, and 16 weeks old. The first annual booster is given 1 year after the last vaccine. Subsequent boosters are either annually or every 3 years, depending on the vaccine license.
    • Dogs
      • Rabies (1 or 3 years)
      • DA2PP (3 years) – Distemper virus, Adenovirus type 2, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza virus
      • Leptospirosis (1 year)
      • Borrelia burgdorferi (1 year) – Lyme disease pathogen
      • Bordetella (1 year) – Kennel cough pathogen
    • Cats
      • Rabies (1 or 3 years)
      • FVRCP (1 year) – Herpes virus, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia virus
      • FeLV (1 year) – Feline leukemia virus
    • Rabies vaccination – Federal and provincial law requires all dogs, cats, and ferrets three months of age or older to be vaccinated against Rabies virus, and remain up to date on this vaccine.
